Below is a description of the likely symptoms of each.

Lumbar Disc Pain (Low Back Disc)

Usually you will have lifted or twisted and the pain came on.

Pain that You will be able to put a hand across where it is but not a specific finger.

Deep achy central pain, or pain across a large amount of your low back. .

You pain is usually worse when bending forward.
-
Pain will often be central initially, and will then spread to either side of the low back
-
Tightness and stiffness will increases following the initial injury
-
Pain is often worsened when sittign or standing for a long time.

A disc injury may hurt when sitting for prolonged periods of time.

May give pain down back of leg (sciatic pain

Aggravated by Snezing.

SIJ (Sacro Iliac Joint Pain)

Pain over the SIJ ( often sharp/ or deep achy pain near, in the lower part of your back. Just above your bottom.

Sharp pain on either side or tightness in the lower back. (you may be able to point to a bone in your pelvis).

Muscle stiffness and tightness in the lower back going into the gluteal (bottom) region.
-
Pain when getting up from sitting or when getting in and out of cars.

Pain often worse when bending backwards

SIJ pain is often confused with hip pain as it can cause tightness in the bottom region and may even refer into the pubic region.

Facet Joints (Back Joints)
